Our Objective
The purpose of the association is to bring together independent businesses that operate in the cementitious related industry to share knowledge and enterprise opportunities that may assist them to develop and expand in the Australian market. The association also serves as a representative body specifically for communications with all levels of government.
Our Members
Our Members comprise Independent Cementitious Suppliers located across Australia. Many of our members commenced importing operations in the last decade to supplement domestic supply capacity and also support the vertical integration of associated quarry and concrete divisions.
Background
Australia now imports around 50% of its cementitious needs (comprising cement, clinker & SCM’s) with our group of companies representing around 1 million tonnes per annum of imported product. Imported cementitious materials are used in a vast range of infrastructure from mining to roads, it meets or exceeds Australian quality standards and retains carbon inventories similar to (or lower than) Australian manufacturers, despite the scope 3 emissions from international shipping. Our association is heavily focused on research and development of advanced future cementitious technologies encompassing lower carbon emissions.
